Wilson Posts His Highest Quarter of Fundraising Ever

In his bid for re-election, Attorney General Alan Wilson has raised $240,000 in the first quarter of 2018, with $1.135 million on hand.

COLUMBIA, SC - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson today announced that he raised $240,000 in individual contributions during the first quarter, his best-ever quarter and far beyond his opponents' funds raised. Attorney General Wilson heads into the final stretch of the primary campaign with over $1,135,000 cash on hand.

Wilson supporter Kevin Thomas said, "As the only combat veteran in the race and the only candidate who's spent a career putting criminals behind bars, Alan Wilson is the clear choice for Attorney General." Thomas continued, "I'm proud to stand with Alan Wilson, and his strong fundraising is proof positive that his record sets him apart from the other candidates."

Wilson has built an unmatched grassroots ground operation and a robust digital advertising presence during the first quarter of 2018 and is continuing to add to his war chest every day.

"Alan Wilson is winning over conservative voters across the state because of his no-nonsense approach to fighting corruption, defending the constitution, and keeping South Carolina families safe," said State Representative Lin Bennett, a Wilson supporter, of Charleston.

Wilson was first elected Attorney General in 2010 and is a Colonel in the SC Army National Guard. A combat veteran and Eagle Scout, Wilson is also the only career prosecutor in the race for Attorney General. Alan and his wife Jennifer live in Lexington and have two children
