Former Attorney General Says Wilson Has the Right Experience

COLUMBIA, SC –Former South Carolina Attorney General Charlie Condon endorsed Alan Wilson today citing the fact that Wilson is the only prosecutor running to be the state’s chief prosecutor.

“In the race for Attorney General, Alan Wilson is the only candidate with the prosecutorial experience to be South Carolina’s chief prosecutor. There is a reason why an overwhelming majority of South Carolina sheriffs have joined more than 60 current and former prosecutors in backing Alan Wilson. It’s because he has real experience in working with law enforcement, putting criminals behind bars, and keeping our families safe,” said Condon.

“Alan Wilson has an impressive resume. He’s worked with law enforcement leaders as both an Assistant Solicitor and Assistant Attorney General. Alan has shown the courage to lead while guiding a convoy through enemy fire in Iraq. The fact is only one candidate for Attorney General has the right experience for the job and that’s Alan Wilson,” continued Condon.

“I have seen Alan Wilson fight crime first hand and I know he will make an outstanding Attorney General. That is why I urge all South Carolinians to join me in supporting Alan Wilson for Attorney General,” concluded Condon.

Alan Wilson is a proven prosecutor and an Iraq war combat veteran. He is a former Assistant Solicitor and a former Assistant Attorney General.  Wilson and his wife Jennifer have two young children, Michael and Anna Grace.  They live in Lexington.
