Wilson Kicks Off Campaign for Attorney General with Focus on Family

Standing with his wife Jennifer, one-year-old son Michael, parents Joe and Roxanne, and other family members, Wilson began his speech by stating, “The reason I am standing here at this moment can be wrapped up in one word, and that word is: FAMILY.”

Military Veteran

Immediately following his graduation from Francis Marion University in 1996, Alan joined the South Carolina National Guard where his first assignment was as a platoon leader. During his 13 years in the National Guard, Alan has been promoted to the rank of Major and received the Combat Action Badge for service in Iraq.

Alan Wilson Prosecutes, Convicts former Bluffton Clerk

A former Bluffton clerk who tried to cover up an embezzlement scheme by claiming her office at Town Hall was robbed was convicted of two felony charges Wednesday. La-Tonya Chisolm, 35, of Hilton Head Island, was sentenced to five years in state prison, but she probably will serve only 18 months. She will then be on probation for five years. She also has to pay the town $4,640 in restitution, the amount she was convicted of stealing.
